A Wasted Evening of Tom Lehrer

Friday, February 3, 2017
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Off Campus

Location: Lineage Performing Arts Center at 89 S. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105

Directed by Brenda Varda

Theater Arts at Caltech is Lehring around for two weekends, bringing the classic and disturbingly relevant songs of Tom Lehrer (the Grand Step-Daddy of Musical Satire) to life for 4 performances!

For some (like Dr. Demento & Weird Al), Lehrer is the God of Satirical Music. Perhaps you remember "The Elements" or "Lobachevsky" or "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" or "We Will All Go Together When We Go". For others this is a great opportunity to learn the Lehrer groove!

Join us for a 75-minute cabaret of revelry and disdain with 23 songs by Lehrer, performed by the Caltech community.

For more information, please contact Theater Arts Director Brian Brophy at brophy@caltech.edu or call (626) 395-3295.

Series: Student Group Performances
