Local Theater

• The Furious Theatre Company is a creative nonprofit organization in residence at the Pasadena Playhouse.
• A Noise Within is an acclaimed classical theatre company in Glendale presenting productions of Shakespeare, Moliere, Shaw, Chekhov, and classic American playwrights.
• The Knightsbridge, founded in 1992, is situated quite conveniently in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, in the Historic Braley Building (and even more conveniently across from Lucky Baldwins!). The host a suite of classics while also promoting new works and artists.
• The Pasadena Playhouse is Pasadena's oldest theatre, restored in 1986 and now continuing its history of quality theatre.
• The Sierra Madre Playhouse has been newly renovated and is great little community theatre to participate in both as performer and audience member.
• The Subterranean Theatre Company is located in Hollywood at the McCadden Place Theatre. This company strves to "explore the unique human experience of live theatre", and performs creative adaptations to classical works.
• Alternative Repertory Theatre is a small professional theatre in Santa Ana, performing a variety of good original work.
• North Coast Repertory Theatre is based in Solana Beach, north of San Diego, and focuses on original works and neglected works of literary merit, which address classical and contemporary social issues.
• Theatre Americana is a local group where many TACIT alumni work. They have been producing original American plays for 63 years and always are looking for audience, scripts, actors, directors and crew.
